Our Program Staff consists of our Pastors, Church Administrator, Director of Youth Ministry, Director of Children's Ministry, Director of Community Life, Marketing Manager, and Director of Technology. They guide the ministry of all the members with creativity, imagination, and laughter and they are dedicated to reaching beyond these walls to our community with God's message of love and grace.

Rev. Hardy H. Kim

Head of Staff

Hardy joined our staff in July 2017. He is a second generation Korean-American. After receiving a bachelor's degree in government, he enrolled in law school with the belief that a career in law would enable him to change society and express his faith by helping others. Serving a year as a Presbyterian Young Adult Volunteer in Mission in Belfast, Northern Ireland confirmed his calling was not to law, but to ministry. The joy experienced and connections made in ministry convinced him that he needed a faith community to sustain and ground him in work. Hardy holds great hopes of working collaboratively towards a vision of God's community in a part of our country where diversity and a transformed social fabric are not a future to be feared but a present reality to be embraced. Hardy enjoys being outdoors, especially if he's able to go for a run in a beautiful setting. He is committed to getting together with friends to cook, enjoy warm hospitality and lively conversation.

Rev. Karin KENNEDY Hejmanowski

Associate Pastor

Karin joined our staff in 2007 with a passion for living out the values of the Kingdom of God in all aspects of life. Karin's areas of responsibility are in Nurture and Mission & Outreach. She brings a concern for justice and a commitment to the marginalized and the poor to all that she does, melding these concerns with a contemplative approach to faith. Having lived in Cambodia and Kenya, Karin enjoys intercultural experiences, trying new things, and dreaming of travel. Karin and her husband, Ken, have two young children who are full of energy and ensure that there is never a dull moment in life!

Ginna Traina

Church Administrator

Ginna has been very involved in the life of our congregation as a volunteer. She has served in the Children's and Youth Ministry Areas as an elder and as a parent. She has participated on the Intersections Music Team since its formation. In 1999 she came on staff as the Hospitality Coordinator, and in May 2001 she became the full-time Office Manager. In 2010 with the retirement of the former church administrator and Tavie Armfield joining the staff as Comptroller, Ginna shifted to become the Church Administrator. Ginna brings to her job strong skills of communication and organization, as well as a wonderful sense of humor.

Addie Domske

Director of Youth Ministry

Addie was rooted and raised in conservative rural spaces and has spent her professional life in progressive urban ones. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Addie studied Marxist, feminist, and queer literary criticism in college and wrote her senior thesis on the merits of secular media for Christian communities. After college she spent seven years living and working on the southside of Chicago. She has her clinical social work degree from University of Chicago and her M.Div from McCormick Theological Seminary. Before coming to SVPC, Addie served as the Director of Youth Formation at St. Paul & the Redeemer Episcopal Church. She has served nationally on the board of the PC(USA)’s Israel/Palestine Mission Network and in 2018 she joined the theology advisory board of Friends of Sabeel North America, an organizing group centered in Palestinian Christian liberation theology. She is a candidate for ordination in the PC(USA), runs a monthly book club online across 5 timezones, and enjoys spending quality time with her Netflix account, her cat Vincent, her three reptiles, and her spouse Dan.

Emily Cramer

Interim Director of Children's Ministry

When Emily graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Sociology and Arabic, she moved to Jordan with no plans to return. Yet after a year of working in relief and development with Syrian and Iraqi refugees, life unexpectedly brought her back to the Bay. Emily joined the SVPC staff in 2017 as the Associate Director of Children’s Ministry. Two years flew by, and she transitioned into the role of Interim Director in the summer of 2019. Emily’s work is research based, internationally focused, and justice oriented. She delights in opening the eyes of SVPC’s children to systems of local and global oppression while equipping them for their active, real-time role as Christ’s hands and feet in breaking those systems down. When not fomenting revolution, Emily revels in opportunities to research, study, and grow in her thinking alongside her strong community of equally nerdy Stanford and Berkeley alums. You can reliably find her reading, laughing uproariously with friends, petting a cat, or submerged in the nearest pool of water.

Carol Heath

Director of Community Life

Carol, long time member of Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, became the Director of Community Life in 2019, after stepping away from many years in Children’s Ministry. Carol’s passion for creating deep, meaningful relationships through small groups and a longing by many in the congregation to find places of connection led to the creation of this position. Having dreamed of this role for some time, Carol is excited to embark on this new area of ministry and to see more people connect with each other through their faith in God and in service together. When Carol is not at church, she enjoys time with friends over a meal, lounging with her cat Sebastian or sharing a homebrew with her husband.

Kris Sheridan

Marketing Manager

Kris is a long-time member of Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, and has served in many volunteer roles, especially Children’s and Youth Ministries. Kris previously held advertising and marketing roles in the retail and financial services industries. She joined the church staff as Marketing Manager in 2016. Kris enjoys working with and supporting all the church’s ministry areas to achieve their communications goals. Having been born and raised in the Midwest, Kris especially enjoys being able to garden and barbecue all year long!

Suzanne Ungson

Director of Technology

Suzanne, a longtime active member of Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, worked more than 20 years in the software field. The Heartworks spiritual gifts discovery class at Sunnyvale Presbyterian helped Suzanne identify and affirm her spiritual gifts and passions -- Helps and Administration linked with a love of organization! All these experiences led to her joining the staff in May 2005 as Director of Lay Ministry. Suzanne has had opportunities to observe how God is continually refining spiritual gifts, interests, and skills among the people of this congregation, herself included. The emergence of church communication in today’s technology driven world intersected with Suzanne’s technology background and attention to detail skill set which led to a refinement of her position as Director of Technology.
