Monthly Food Drive—Turning the Tables on Hunger

The church community contributed 840 pounds of food in March 2020 for our monthly Turning The Tables On Hunger Food Drive. The total is now 289,040 pounds of food collected and delivered since the monthly food drive began in October 2002. Thank you for your generosity!

Sunnyvale Community Services ShelvesFIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH: Put a note on your calendar for the first Sunday of each month (except in September when we collect food on the second Sunday) to remember to bring non-perishable food items with you to church. We collect non-perishable food at each of our three services in large red barrels in Trinity Court.

'SOUPER' BOWL SUNDAY: On the first Sunday in February the emphasis is on donating soup.

SUGGESTIONS FOR DONATIONS: Most needed are protein-rich foods (soups, stews, chili, peanut butter, canned meat like tuna, chicken or ham). Also needed are powdered milk, cereal, and canned vegetables and fruits.

Food Drive TeamBAG BRIGADE: At 10 a.m. on the Monday following each food drive, volunteers from our church community put the collected items into bags so the donations can be picked up and taken to the Sunnyvale Community Services warehouse for distribution to hungry people.

"BUY 1 GET 1 FREE": Consider taking advantage of every sale and 2-for-1 deal while doing your own shopping, giving half to our food drive.
