Mission Statement

Parents’ Night Out (PNO) is a ministry to parents and their children. Members of PNO are committed through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit to help children and their families:
  • Know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior, Lord and best friend, growing in their relationship with Him, and
  • Strengthen and build healthy relationships with one another.

Working together, parents provide a support and fellowship network for one another as they provide quality child care for their children.

Ministry Description

PNO is a Christian cooperative child care program at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church. PNO is administered and staffed by participating couples, and overseen by the church's Children’s Ministry and a staff person designated by the church. The program runs on a 16-week trimester basis. Families are expected to commit to the entire trimester. PNO meets Saturday nights from 5:30–8:30 p.m.

During the three–hour program, children enjoy age appropriate activities, a snack, and a movie. At least two couples in each group provide supervision. Couples work on a rotating, regularly scheduled basis.

There may be two part–time families on each roster. Part–time families will attend every other Saturday, alternating with the other part–time family on the same roster.

Safe Church LogoAll parents who participate in PNO are required to be Safe Church Trained.
