Raising the Bar

The inclination to make New Year’s resolutions – whether we in fact write a list or not – is driven by our understanding that there is more to life than we’ve experienced; and that there ought to be more to our lives than we express. It’s easy to think in predictable categories for our resolutions: health, fitness goals, economic prudence. But as children of God and people of faith we are invited to raise the bar and set our sights and selves on the call to fulfill God’s will. May God bless us in this New Year!
