Message: Cultivating Self Control in a World of Excess
Rev. Dr. Stephanie Lutz Allen

Throughout Western Civilization writers have penned eloquently on the need to exercise self-control to live a happy life, to be an effective leader of others. As Christians, we know that self-control is more than just willing things to be different, but involves trusting a power more loving than our most caring friend, and more powerful than the world's greatest force. We experience that power in God, as God has been made known to us in Jesus Christ. That power comes to us through the Spirit, whom Jesus describes as our "comforter" and our "advocate."

Galatians 5: 16-25

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-13
