Sunnyvale Presbyterian All-Church Camp August 31 — September 3, 2012

Greetings!

Our 50th All-Church Camp will soon be here! Church camp is a great opportunity to make new connections, strengthen our faith, and enjoy being in fellowship with each other.

This year's theme will be "When Christ Calls - Timeless Lessons for Deepening Dicipleship".

We are thrilled to introduce Rev. George Goodrich, Co-Presbyter of Yellowstone Presbytery as our adult speaker for this year's camp. As Co-Presbyter with his wife Rev. Kathy Allmon Goodrich, their role is to pastor pastors, resource congregations, and to work prayerfully for the spiritual, missional, and general renewal of the 29 congregations they serve throughout Montana.

We are also excited to announce that Nick Hart will be joining us as a youth speaker for the 7th - 12th grade students. Nick Hart is currently serving as the Youth Pastor for Faith Community Church in Santa Cruz and has been a youth speaker at Mt. Hermon.

All Church camp will feature fun activities for all ages and interests. Children will find lots of surprises during their morning program. Our music team will lead us in worshipping God in song. The weekend will also feature many sporting activities, from hiking, cycling, swimming, to archery, and horseshoes. You can also enjoy a campfire, crafts, reading, napping, and an ice cream social, among other activities. All are welcome to share their special "talent" at the All-Camp Talent Show on Sunday night!

If you are a FIRST-TIME CAMPER AT ALL-CHURCH CAMP, be sure to attend the New Camper’s Breakfast provided for you free of charge on Saturday morning at the picnic tables. More information just for the first time camper is included in their packets.

The complete Pre-Camp All Church Camp Packet includes;

Meals

No meals are available for Friday dinner or Monday lunch through Redwood Glen, even for those who have purchased meals; please provide these meals on your own.

Check-in Time

Check-In at Redwood Glen starts Friday, August 31 at 3:00 PM. New campers are highly encouraged to come as early as possible to set up camp before dark. We will be in front of Shepherd Lodge (located near the camp entrance) handing out packets and helping you find your site from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 6:00 PM on Friday, you may pick up your packet from the box of packets in front of Shepherd Lodge when you arrive. If you do arrive late, please observe the 11:00 PM All-Quiet rule for All-Church Camp.

Check-In Packets

You will receive your Check-In Packet when you arrive at All Church Camp. It will contain name tags, meal tickets, the camp schedule, the camp roster, and a camp map.

Think Green

Please help us and Redwood Glen by bringing reusable containers instead of using disposables (i.e. bring a mug for the morning hot drinks instead of using the disposable cups), as well as using environmentally friendly materials and recycling whenever possible. Many thanks!

Conserve Water!

We are always the largest group each year at Redwood Glen, and tend to put a strain on the camp’s septic system. You can help by making showers as short as possible (3 minutes maximum), by using the Port-A-Potties instead of flush toilets, and when possible by “sharing” flushes of flush toilets, especially during peak usage times. These small but important steps will ensure that we are good stewards of our time at Redwood Glen. Many thanks!
