Coffee, tea and hot cocoa will be available each morning on the deck of the dining hall. Please do your part to clean up after yourself and to keep this area clean. Please also bring your own reusable mug to minimize the use of disposable items.
Water is understandably a precious resource out here in the woods. Please use water sparingly when cooking, showering, using faucets or toilets.
The Meal Service for those who pre-purchase meals through Redwood Glen is provided in the Dining Hall. Meal Service meals CANNOT be purchased at camp; if you wish to purchase meals through Redwood Glen, you must pre-order them through Bob Stoddard by August 20. The Dining Hall Coordinator will have a list of those who have purchased meals and will check diners in at the door. Those who purchased dinner on Saturday and Sunday evening will receive meal tickets that will be collected by the Dining Hall Coordinator when you are in line at the BBQ; they should be in your packet when you arrive. Remember that no meals are provided for Friday dinner or Monday Lunch.
Nursery care for children under three is provided every day during the morning program. Parents of nursery-aged children must supply diapers, clothes, toys, sippy cups/bottles, etc. for their own children. PLEASE LABEL ALL BELONGINGS WITH THE CHILD’S NAME. Contact the Nursery Leader with any questions.
Marshmallow roasting for the children will take place on Friday and Saturday nights at the fire pit. Please bring your own marshmallows, s&squote;more fixings and a roasting stick. If you forget to bring supplies, come anyway; there is always plenty to share!
Small Group discussions are an important part of the experience and take place each morning following the speaker presentation. Campers are assigned to small groups prior to camp. Our Speaker and Small Group Coordinator provide questions and prepare the Small Group Leaders for engaging discussions that relate to the theme.
Cycle to the Sea is open for all adults (18 and up) who bring their own bicycles and helmets. No other bikes are allowed at camp except for use during planned group activities: Cycle to the Sea and the Mountain Bike Ride.
Bring your favorite board game and perhaps a snack to share to the Dining Hall after the evening gathering on Saturday night for Saturday Night Board Games.
The All-Camp Talent Show takes place Sunday evening from 7:30 to 10:00 PM. This is a weekend highlight you don&squote;t want to miss! Bring stadium chairs, bug repellent, and lots of warm clothes, as it gets quite chilly sitting still after dark. All acts must be 3 minutes or less, and each camper may participate in only ONE act - no exceptions! Start planning now for any props, etc, that you may need to bring to camp!
Camp concludes with Worship and Communion on Monday morning beginning at 10:45 AM. Children and babies worship with their families; no nursery care is provided.
