Step Beyond
As part of our church’s mission, to Be Rooted in Christ and to Reach out in Love, we want to offer opportunities to help folks better live out our lives in faithfulness, loving God and serving others. As an expression of this desire, a series of classes called “Step Beyond” will be offered to adults and high school students for five weeks beginning in late January 2010.
Our goal for this series is to offer an opportunity for the congregation to be involved in a more intentional life of discipleship by implementing spiritual formation practices and a commitment to service. The series will feature five classes taught by pastors as well as small group time for reflection and response.
Those who wish to participate will be asked to commit to attend all classes and commit to developing and carrying out a personal spiritual practices plan as well as deciding upon an area of service to carry out for the following four months.
Participants will attend classes either on Sundays from 11:15 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. or on Monday nights from 7:00 - 8:40 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

Note: Potpourri refers to other spiritual practices such as fasting and journaling. Integration relates to integrating our lives as disciples.
An information meeting will be held on Sunday, January 10, in the sanctuary immediately following the 10 a.m. service. Sign-ups will be in Trinity court, January 10 and 17, or online.
