The Music School
Our Music School offers classes and lessons for pre-schoolers through high school students. There are also lessons available for adults. Through musical play, children learn to read and enjoy music. They are given opportunities to participate in recitals, choral festivals, and musicals. Older students and adults can enroll in instrumental or vocal lessons.

WHAT COULD BE MORE FUN THAn MAKING MUSIC?
The Music School is beginning its 31st year of making music here in our church. Weekly, 650-700 students learn music while having fun attending classes, lessons, ensembles, camps, and theater. The smiling faces in our early childhood classes range in age from 12 months through Kindergarten. Our children are busy with singing, rhythmic movement, musical games, learning musical concepts, and hands-on activities with keyboard, bells, and rhythmic instruments.
Our school-age classes meet for 2 hours per week and the students learn through small group learning centers---theory, keyboard, music history, music appreciation, lessons, and fun. In addition to all this, private students attend classes to develop skills on their instruments.
From 3 to 8 p.m., there is a cacophony of sound from Music School classrooms…violin, trumpet, trombone, piano, saxophone, clarinet, voice. Our ensembles include: Singing Children, a choir for grades 2-5; The Entertainers, a song and dance troupe for grades 6-12; percussion ensemble; guitar ensemble, and the Resurrection School Band. Adult students enjoy lessons in violin, voice, flute, and piano.
Our first quarter concludes with performances: Early Childhood Christmas Program on December 6; Choral Festival for our after-school classes on December 7, and Solo and Small Ensemble Recitals from December 8 through 13.
Our students and faculty are very diverse. The last time we did a survey, we had fifty different nationalities represented in our school. We are so fortunate to be a mission outreach of our church, and to be able to reach out to the community through music. Come visit us. We share the 400 building, Monday through Saturday.
