LECTIO DIVINA
We have an ongoing Lectio Divina prayer group which meets in a home the second Wednesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. This group is open to anyone interested in learning and practicing Lectio Divina.
Lectio Divina is a contemplative practice. As a group we read a selected scripture, and then contemplate upon that scripture. As we personally reflect and respond, there is opportunity to share our individual experience and insights within the group.
The intention of this practice is to facilitate for each participant a deepening of their relationship with God through contemplation on His Word.

CENTERING PRAYER
A Centering Prayer group meets the third Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. We are currently a small group, meeting in Room 702. This group is open to anyone wanting to practice centering prayer, which is a form of contemplative prayer. Under the Christian tradition, with this type of prayer we are individually opening ourselves to the presence of God, with intention for allowing God’s work within us. The benefits of this type of prayer are often seen over time. With regular centering prayer, one may experience relaxation, grounding, comfort, joy, guidance and increased energy and spiritual movement.

PRAYER SHAWL
Compassion and the love of knitting or crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy.
There are two Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church prayer shawl knitting groups that meet once a month. You can move freely between the two depending on your schedule and availability (or you can go to both). Both meet in private homes in Sunnyvale. Contact Miriam Kishi for more details.
