Alternative Gift Fair
Through the combined efforts of the Mission Ministry Area and the Peacemaking Committee, Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church’s first Alternative Gift event was instituted in 1987 as a Gift Fair in the Phoenix Center gym complete with a variety of crafts and different outreach groups. After some years Alternative Gifts International (AGI) shopping became a stand-alone project with individuals and families selecting “gifts” from the AGI catalog. Â
December 2012 marks Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church's twenty-fifth Alternative Gift event. This event provides an opportunity for educating our family and friends about the needs in our world as well as a less materialistic way to celebrate the birth of Christ. With $29,000 contributed last year alone, the Alternative Gift Fair is a wonderful tradition of reaching out in love to those in need
The Alternative Gift Fair will return each November and December with help from a lot of our friends in giving AGI gifts that give outward and onward for people in need. Any time of the year visit Alternative Gifts International for more information or to order gifts.
