Val has has been a member of the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church community for many years. The internship is part of her journey through Fuller Seminary and is designed to provide her with a deep experience of ministry as she focuses on Recreational Ministry as well as a breadth of exposure to several aspects of Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church's ministries.

Stevens Creek County Park, Optional Geocaching - Saturday, MARCH 27
What: A nice few hours out for a walk with cool folks like you. Everyone is welcome. The trail we will hike is about four miles round trip (with an option for a shorter two mile trip). The terrain is slightly hilly (one tough, short hill) and then some rolling hills. There are some picnic tables and places to hang out in the beautiful outdoors if you would like to explore the park and spend some quiet time by a creek.
For those who know about Geocaching, please come prepared to “Cache in and Trash Out.” If you are curious about Geocaching, you are welcome to come and experience it firsthand and/or read about it some ahead of time www.geocaching.com. Several of us will be taking empty garbage bags and I’ll provide gloves for a little clean up on our walk.
Where: Stevens Creek County Park – Meet at the church and carpool, or you can meet us there.
When: Saturday March 27 from noon - 4 p.m.
Who: Everyone, All ages included.
ANGEL ISLAND - Saturday, April 17
We will meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. in order to to leave by 9 a.m. and catch the 11 a.m. ferry from Tiburon. Bring a lunch and snacks (especially water) or bring money to buy a lunch on the island. We will take the 3 p.m. return ferry to Tiburon and plan to be back at the church by 5 p.m. For more information contact Val Weirauch.
Ferry costs:
$13.50 for Adults
$11.50 for Children (ages 6-12)
$3.50 for Children (ages 3-5)
